Gary Decker proudly serves SMD 1D07, representing the northern part of Columbia Heights at the border between Ward 1 and Ward 4. Commissioner Decker is in his second term, and has previously served as the Vice Chair and Secretary for Commission 1D. He has made improving public services, public safety, accessible and safe transportation, and community engagement high priorities during his tenure on the commission.
Commissioner Decker has made Columbia Heights home with his spouse and has been a resident of the District since 2010.
