In conjunction with this event, there will be several street closures that motorists should take into consideration. The 1200 to 1300 blocks of Pennsylvania Ave, NW will be closed to traffic during the below mentioned times. The event set-up time will be from approximately 4:00 am to 9:00 am, at which time the roadways mentioned above and below will be closed to traffic. The event tear-down time will be from approximately 11:00 am to 1:00 pm, at which time the roadways mentioned above and below will re-open to traffic at approximately 1:00 pm. The below race route will be closed from approximately 9:00 am to 11:00 am:·Route will begin and end at 12th and Pennsylvania Avenue, NW·East on Pennsylvania Avenue, NW towards 3rd Street, NW·South on 3rd Street, NW to D Street, SW·West on D Street to 4th Street, NW, north on 4th to Independence Avenue, SW ·West on Independence Avenue, SW to 7th Street, SW ·U turn and travel east on Independence Avenue, SW to 3rd Street, NW·North on 3rd Street to Pennsylvania Avenue, NW·West on Pennsylvania Avenue, NW to the finish line at 12th Street, NWAll street closures and listed times are subject to change based upon prevailing or unexpected conditions. Motorists could encounter possible delays if operating in the vicinity of this event and may wish to consider alternative routes. The Metropolitan Police Department and the D.C. Department of Transportation also wishes to remind motorists in the vicinity of this event to proceed with caution as increased pedestrian traffic can be anticipated.
